BEST is the Education Business Partnership for the London Borough of Wandsworth. Our aim is to improve the motivation and achievement of young people by working with businesses, schools and colleges.
BEST is a member of the Institute for Education Business Excellence (IEBE) and part of a network of 126 Education Business Partnerships, including the London Education Business Partnership which has 30 members in Greater London. We are also a member of the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce.
This work helps:
- Develop an understanding of the world of work and the range of career options.
- Promote achievement, personal development and lifelong learning.
- Acquire the skills for working in the 21st century.
- Raise the profile of businesses in the local community.
- Bring together local schools and businesses across the borough, working together for mutual gain.
- Create a generation with prospects and ideas.
- Provide teachers with first hand experiences in a range of contexts, to assist curriculum development.
- Keep businesses up to date with the education industry and give them the opportunity to engage with young people and further the development of the future generation.
